CtC Druid ideas.

[:1]Building an earth shifter and reading through the made me ponder about synergizing the tornado/twister ctc abilities of some items. Mostly wondering what the best route for a weapon would be to go with a fury druid.

The contenders are:

Horizon's Tornado

Scourge

One-Hand Damage: (9-11) To (264-304)

Required Level: 64

Required Strength: 100

Required Dexterity: 62

The most pure, only casting Tornado.

Rift

+10 To Dexterity

38% Damage Taken Goes To Mana

Level 15 Iron Maiden (40 Charges)

Requirements -20%

Gives us a higher tornado, with ctc orb plus adds some magic and fire to get around physical immunes a bit.

Stormlash

Scourge

One-Hand Damage: (10-12) To (272-320) (141-166 Avg)

Required Level: 82

Again a higher level tornado with static field and some lit damage. Will be good for bosses.

And last contender for weapon is

Windhammer

Ogre Maul

Required Level: 68

Level 13 Twister (127 Charges)

Either way im throwing in a carrion wind for more twisters. Out of the choices im thinking horizons is the least desirable. While maybe rift or stormlash being the top choice. This wouldn't limit you to one weapon either, if rift is the better general weapon then the other 2 could back it up by being used against bosses. Thoughts? Ideas?|||Stormlash will probably be your best bet while keeping with the theme. The ctc Static is great for general PvM as well as bosses. Rift is slow and Horizon's is just vastly inferior to Lash. Windhammer will do more damage, but Twister does negligible damage and you might as well make a pure Fury wolf at that point.|||my biggest question her though, is this: Isn't the damge from tornado quite lacking even if its fully synergized? Would it be worth it?|||I never thought of it before, but I do like the idea of a rift scepter just because a fury druid spitting out frozen orbs would be awesome, but with that in mind since wolf and bear form depend on wias, it will be soooooo sloowww. Going with stormlash and its lvl 18 tornado would give 1491 - 1619 damage per tornado when fully synergized, that means maxed cyclone armor, twister, and hurricane. Thats pretty respectable considering you'll probably end up putting out a tornado once every five hits, but is a sizable skill investment. If your going to get the most out of this I would definately cast a hurricane before shifting into wereform, thats an extra 583 - 656 cold damage swirling around you, and since you maxed cyclone armor it will last for 50 seconds. Overall though? the tornado damage will probably be lost among not only your physical damage but all the static field and crushing blow that your weapon carries.|||I would go with windhammer because I think it would look cool spamming a bunch of little twisters every hit. Also only have to max out tornado and hurricane. But the biggest problem will be the 225 str rec.|||Im probably going to go the stormlash route because it seems more solid of a weapon to base around the ctc. Plus i should be able to swing it ungodly fast.

So far this is what im thinking

20-WW(not going to max right away, its a skill dump after i max the rest)

20-Fury

1-Lycanthropy

1-Feral Rage

1-Rabies

20-Cyclone Armor

20-Twister

20-Hurricane

1-Arctic Blast

1-Tornado

For equipment im planning on going with:

Stormlash

Jalals

Chains of honor

Highlords

Draculs Grasp

Raven frost(for the cbf)

Carrion Wind for twisters(crap damage but aesthetically pleasing for the build)

T-gods/Dungos/Arach

Gores/Treks

Highlords

Torch and anni only charms im planning on. Should net me plenty of ds, and open wounds for the fast fury attacks, and have the bonus damage from the tornados and static field. Now should i stay with just te h1 hander or should i use a shield? I could go with SS for dr and nice block, or should i go with phoenix for the added ed? Or just go with a plain Spirit for the overall nice mods?|||If you use a shield, be sure to keep your dex to a minimum. WW have terrible block rates. I'm quite partial to Lance Guard.

37% Block for Druids

30% Faster Hit Recovery

20% Deadly Strike

+50 To Life|||As my opinion tells me stormlash would be your best choice. It has ctc tornado while having ctc static. The static seems to be a great choice for pvm if you are not rich to get very expensive gear. I would not use rift because of its ctc frozen orb mod. I hate cool down time items.|||Don't forget "Wind" runeword.|||Jary made a Kodiak based on wind procs. Search for "Hungry Hurricane" Thing was immune to practically all elemental damage.
