Wind Druid question

[:1]Hi everyone

I only play PVM

I'm thinking of using a eth Doom CA with an act 2 offensive merc. My thinking is that the reduction to cold resist will speed trash killing, and the Might aura of the merc will help with bosses. Does this make sense, or would I be better off with a more traditional act defensive merc with something like a Reaper's Toll (which i have, but it isn't eth)

Thanks in advance for any help|||For a windy druid you are better off going with a defensive merc with Reaper's Toll, only the weilder of the weapon benefits from the -cold resist on the doom. Also the Decrepify will increase the damage of your tornado's since they are physical damage which are the real damage dealers of a windy druid.|||Quote:

Thank you i didn't realize that the - cold resist mod had to be on the player, not the mrc. that's really helpful|||Quote:

edoomca would be a bad choice for a merc in my opinion. If you were wondering about the -enemy cold resist mod that would only benefit for your merc since he is equipped with the weapon and not your character. I really dont like its volcano mod either because of its long cool down time. Really gets annoying for the merc to do more attacks.

I would prefer you to use the reapers you have on your merc. Dont bother using a socket quest on it because its not eth. You could trade for a eth reapers by using this trading forum if you want. They are really not that expensive either. But you will need some hrs maybe but thats not too bad of a price.
