Question about Hurricane

[:1]I want to know how prebuffing hurricane works. If I prebuff it with a high +skill set of gear and then switch to, for instance, a 30/30 cold sword and 20/20 cold shield, does it benefit from the %skill damage or only the -res? Does anyone know?
