Max block shaman

I am planning to make a max block shaman some day down the road for many reasons. I do not like the str req on monarch and lidless would prolly not be the best choice for a shaman. Here is a 99% fcr gear setup I want to aim for:

hoto

ravenlore -20 efr/high resist with 5/5 fire facet

enigma mp

sanctuary troll nest

crafted fcr ammy 2 druid skills/19 fcr/20 dex/life/etc. (expensive but a must)

arach

upped once mages

x2 bk

upped waterwalk 65 life

cta/lidless or sigon shield on switch for bo

20 stat dtorch and anni (perf stats a must)

x4 ele lifers and 20 life scs (to grab stuff in pvm, but filled inventory for pvp if necessary)

Skill distribution:

20 fissure (main)

20 firestorm (syngery and secondary)

20 volcano (syngery and secondary)

20 Grizzly (main pet)

1 HoW (main pet)

1 raven (help in dangerous situations)

1 all other prereq

rest geddon

Stat distribution:

str- base

dex- enough for max block

vita- all the rest

energy- not even a single point

I know verash uses a shaman but I want to build a max block shaman some day when I get the wealth to get gear. I just finished getting two barbs but I think next ladder I will build this build. Any suggestions to improve build or anything like that?|||Sanctuary in a hyperion would save you some dex for max block starting around level 85, even if you had to stat 10 str in @ 85, you'd gain 3 points. The higher the level, the more you save.

Edit: or you could use a tower shield & not have to worry about str.|||Make yourself favor and get rid of that stupid helm. Ravenlore is esenitally useless unless you pair it with +30/-30 weapon, and even then, you can get stacked so easily. Instead, swap Ravenlore for Jalal or custom pelt with armagedon. Shael rune is your best friend in helm no matter what. And Stormshield can be used very easy - 15 base str +40 torch/anni + 70 enigma. I don't see reason not to use Stormshield. If you don't want invest anything just toss in some allresist/-req jewel. With Jalal's 20 str you can use Stormshield with -15 req or ethereal spirit (you need spirit shield only for vs caster fight so durability won't matter there) with only one str invested, and you don't need any str if enigma gives you 71 str (level 95 - what I consider just about standard for any serious PvP character).|||Quote:

This is not going to be pvp if that is what you think. I want to make it pvm so the -25 efr would help against one monsters that are not completely fire immune. Forgot to add infinity merc in the picture. The main reason I want him a max block shaman is because of spirit's high str req and it should not be a bad idea to make a max block char in pvm or is it?

True but the shield weight is medium so would not be a good idea. And monarch requires too much str in this case.
