Any Druids from 2001 to 2003?

Hey, how's it going?

I used to frequent this forum very, very often from 2001 to 2003 when I played a Werewolf Druid. When the ladder resets on September 28th, I will be playing Diablo 2 again - this time with my girlfriend by my side so I don't have to be a lone wolf.

Are there still any Druid players around from that time period? I still remember forum members whom I talked to and were quite popular from those years, such as the following list. Does anyone else remember them? (I don't actually expect these people to still post here.)

Ash Housewares

Proudfoot

Unchosen

Beorn The Beast

Ms Werebear

Dawn of the Moon

AnskMoB

mepersoner

Strid

Dragoon

Gharbad the Weak

Asheron

Victus

Fortune (my role model in the game)

Baranor

MrBlonde (wrote a WW guide that inspired me to play the Druid almost exclusively)

Tor

Gandalf the Grey

naturebunns

Kirsty

FenrisWulf

Kazama Fury

Oh! I was almost a member of Clan Gimmeitam and 76Legit.

In any case, I guess I'm reminiscing a bit. My reason for posting here is actually so that I can gather some people I used to play with and perhaps we can play together again when the ladder resets.

Take care!

ViC|||Baranor is still around, though only pops up once in awhile in OT.

Haven't seen any of the others though.|||You bastard. You forgot about me!! Bara is the only one around to my knowledge.|||Quote:

Hey, Zabo! Maybe I left you out intentionally! =P

How have you been? Are you planning to play when the ladder resets... in 20 minutes?

ViC|||You could build a fury druid but start him out as a fire druid until you reach a higher level then respec him to a fury druid.|||Hey Vic, are you going to start a Gentlemen's Club for old wolves? I see what this is about.

Good to see you. If you're West Ladder, maybe I'll see you sometime if I ever get this game installed again.

Man, I must've been gone for a while. Do they allow "respecs" now?|||haha i was a 76legit member back around that time too. Only really played with the lld people. I've somewhat recently been taken captive by single player though. I like everything about it better than bnet except for pvp.

Anyways, welcome back person that i don't remember!|||I am. I play on east with a few other old schoolers though.

After each Den of Evil quest, Akara will offer you an option to reset all skills/stats. There is also a token quest that will allow you to do it now. Saves a lot of time rebuilding.|||Thanks Judson. Now I see what you mean. I finally gave in and reinstalled the game

Just started a few days ago, my Bear's lvl 23 on West Ladder, come find me if you can...

I think it increases the playability of the game. You can max out low lvl skills to beat your way through normal, respec for nightmare, and once you gather up end game gear for hell you can do it a final time.

  1. Hah, I'm Dawn of the Moon. =P This post made me feel all fuzzy inside ^_^ I'm doing a dissertation this summer then searching for jobs afterwards, so won't be playing. I am however on D3, which really needs to stop, what with the dissertation looming over my head...

I was actually searching for posts from the old forums but I really can't find much. Ah, nostalgia...
