Have a few druid questions.

Hi all.

I am currently back playing diablo 2 lord of destruction (have been for 3 weeks now) and have a few questions about the druid.

My current skills are -

werewolf - 1

Lycanthropy - 6

Werebear - 5

Maul - 4

Raven - 1

Spirit wolf - 3

Oak sage - 1

Heart of wolverine - 2

Dire wolf - 7

Grizzly - 1

I am in act 3 normal.

I'm unsure where I would be best putting my skill points into now. I'm kind of basing this around the towndump werebear guide on this forum, and have a few questions about it aswell.

1 . On the guide it says only put +1 into Werebear, why is this? If you increase it you get more defence and damage if I'm not mistaken, why leave this at 1?

2. Do you suggest eventually maxing out both dire wolf and grizzly? if yes, should I just keep raising those 2 skills evenly? so they both reach 20 about the same time? or is one more important than the other early on in the game.

3. Some guides say only put 1-2 into maul, should maul be maxed out aswell? or is it not necessary?

4. Are their any better places to find socketed items? or is it just complete luck? I'm looking for socket Armour to use low level rune words on. Never done it before so just looking to experiment.

5. My current weapon is a yellow (rare or unique?) Dread Bar maul. Are mauls considered a good weapon or am I better off finding some sort of 1 handed weapon and using a shield?

Thanks all, greatly appreciated.|||1. Because the returns aren't worth it for the most part. Those points are better spent elsewhere.

2. Depends on what you want your summons to do. Normally I don't see their damage being high enough to bother maxing grizzly and I normally do 20 Dire and 1 Griz. However, if you want a secondary damage source max Griz.

3. IMO it depends on what you do with 2. and what points you have left. Though I'd personally max it.

4. Sheer luck. Though Cows have a tendency to drop socketed items.

5. Don't use a shield, it'll get you killed.
