I was considering doing a pure ele druid once the ladder resets as my 1st character. build would basically be
20 tornado, twister, hurricane, fissure
10 firestorm (fissure synergy)
extra points into firestorm for synergy or HoW for Merc
The thing I like about the build is it gives me something to work with in terms of dealing with cold/phys immunes. while i like grizzly, i'd rather be able to deal with dual immunes than have another tank. i was just wondering if someone else has tried out something like this and how well it worked.|||Maybe you can find a similar druid here: http://diablo.incgamers.com/forums/s...d.php?t=734413|||Have you played a windy before?|||Never played a wind druid but from what i understand, all the damage is cold and physical. since in theory my merc would do physical damage and me physical and cold damage, cold/physical immunes render me helpless. my thought process was given the option between grizzly (another tank) and another damage source (Fire), i figured getting fissure would be the more versatile option.|||Unless you have top top gear I fear your damage will be disapointing on both attacks|||You don't need grizzly for a pure windy, you put your other 20 skill points into Oak spirit for max life, and your merc should have SOME form of elemental dmg on their weapon, enough to take out the one surviving dual immune. Yes?|||Quote:

sure if you have the runes. generally i never can get ahold of anything better than gul, so i'm rather limited in that regard.|||Obedience?
And I'd rather have a tank Grizzly than a damage Grizzly.|||Quote:

The fire damage from enchant is pretty paltry, especially in hell mode. Agreed its better than nothing though.|||Wind druids are mainly working on tornado and syngeries and putting the rest into oak sage. Make sure you have 1 point bear.
