wolf vs. wolf setup

I always get information about fury vs. fury duels that grief pb and ss is the way to go along with max damage setup. But I think that this can't necessarly be true. I was thinking that there has to be a better way to do fury vs. fury duels.

My opinions are telling me that I should go with a good rabies setup then fury down the other wolf after weakened from rabies. Here is what I am thinking about:

crafter berserker axe 40 ias, fools moded, good ed, 1-2 sockets

bramble

ss melee jewel or 5/x poison facet

rare circ 10 fhr, 30 frw, 2os, other mods x2 5/5 poison facets

maras

40/15 dungo

20 dex raven

bk

trangs

dancers 25 dex

switch-

30/30 crystal

20/20 jmod just in case you get hit on switch side

Here I am going for more rabies damage and nice rangeadder. My approach is to obtain extra frw so I can obtain distance from the other wolf and start using rabies. Then I can run again and fury them down when they are weak.

Does anybody think that this will work in fury vs. fury? Im not saying this is the way to go I am just saying that it should be possible to come up with something better other than max damage setup. I need to hear opinions about this and have this tested out so I know that this is possible.|||You can't use rabies in fury vs fury .|||^ what he said. I've only had 1 fury fury duel so far and died every time. I used grief PB+ss and max/ar/life charms, don't know about the other.. only that he was 3 lvls higher. I got him to last bits of health but too slow.|||Skull he might have 37 3/20/20s unless you have the same you'll be at a disadvantage also you useing giulhams helm rends and bk 1 raven highlords gores ? My max/ar charms are LC or GC And I have only head/weapon slots to change, ebotdGPA & 15ias/@85 kiras vs. casters/non blockables and gPB SS Jalals vs. blockables.|||Well I've met alot of mellee chars on east that are full of 3/20/20s so don't feel bad about losing just use the best you've got but giulhams helm is cheap and easily obtainable so it's a better chioce vs other high life chars sheal stormshield is best chioce from what I've been told just make sure you hit 42 fhr and give it a go|||funny

Did I say dancers? Woops I really meant to say 15/15/70 treks for the poison resist and fhr. But I thought kiba once tested out what I was just talking about in the first post. Here is what I mean:

Can you please explain why Kiba was using bramble and building up his poison over max damage fury? This is why I think that building up rabies>max fury damage setup shielded.
