[:1]Yep, yet another attemp to make a valid Aldur PvM build all the way through Hell.
However, I have almost zero experiance with Dudus yet failed to find a costructive guide for this build, or even for a FC char for that matter, so I need a little help with my gear and sockets.
For now I was thinking of:
Helm: Aldur's
Wep: Aldur's
Arm: Aldur's
Shield: SS
Belt: Tgod
Boots: Aldur's
Gloves: ??
Rings: 2xRavens
* Now. the IAS calculator shows me I need 101% IAS to reach 6 FPS. Should I put 3xShaels in the wep and 15% IAS jewels in armor and helm to reach it?
* Which gloves should I use? I was thinking of Steelrend for the CB. I'm not going to put a Ber in the wep.
* Should I swap a raven for a dual leech ring? With the set I have 10%ll and 15%ml. Or maybe go with Drac for Life Tap?
* I'm seriously lacking FHR here. I was thinking of just using charms, but should I sockets so Shaels in the armor and helm? Or maybe use a Dungo or Bloodfists?
All in all, what are the core elements (IAS, res, FCR, leech etc) of a FC build (breakpoint-wise too)?|||Take a good look at the Build Guides. Search Aldurs Fire Claw Druid for other discussions about the FC Build on Aldurs Set.
Known weaknesses of Aldurs Set - no CB, low FHR, Attack Speed - 7 frame at best (with OIAS), low damage.
Known advantages of a 5 piece IK setup - 30-40CB, lots of alternate damage, FHR when you use Jalals and IK set, lots more damage/better wep, survivability.
So, given this comparison:
I would wear IK gloves, boots, belt, and maul (w/ 2x shael), Jalals, Mara and 2x Ravens, with COH duskshroud. Anni/Torch + 6 str/SS GC or 2, and Life/AR charms, Put a 15ias/ %ed jewel in helm. Any gaps - fill with charms.
Skills - that's debatable - everyone on this site will give you a different answer. IMHO - I'd do this:
Things you'll need for this build:
* A reasonably fast weapon.
* Some kind of Life Leech.
* Damage other than fire
Things you'll want for this build:
* A source of Crushing Blow on a fast weapon
* 54% Faster Hit Recovery
* PDR (Physical Damage Reduction)
Skill Distribution:
Shapeshifting 31pts
1 WW
5 Lyc
3 WB*
1 FR
20 FC*
1 SW*
Elemental 50pts
1 Firestorm
9 Molten Boulder
20 Fissure
20 Volcano
Summoning 19pts
1 Raven
1 Oak Sage
1 Spirit Wolf
1 Dire Wolves
15 Grizzly*
*= hotkey 1-3
100 pts = level 88+ build
Str = enuf for equip, Dex - just use the Raven x 2, Life - All remaining stats,
any leveling beyond 88 - go 1 pt Lyc, 1 pt WB
It's pretty much a setup that won't go wrong. Not having a shield and having Griz as a blocker. I would use COH, Ber Jalals, wear Highlords Ammy, because I could make up the diff w/charms. Jalals (8DR) with COH (8 DR) would be fine because you'd kill anything before it could hit back lol. Just keep the Tgod ready in stash. It's that good of a build.
DR - Coh, Ber Jalals= 16
FHR - 30 with jalals and 25 with IK benefit so your good
OIAS - you need 15ias so Highlord or 15ias jewel in Jalals( Id use Highlord for damage )
CB - Try to get closer to the 40CB (IK Maul is 30-40)
IMHO with being new to Dru's this would rock and be fun - you'll never go back to Necro's or whatever!
Put up Griz, Shockwave, and start swingin, rinse and repeat. Put on Tgod when lightning strikes, that's about it. You could play the game without having to switch anything but the Tgods.
Aldurs would be a struggle past act 2 hell. This setup is much better because it's a beat hell with style build. Solo Baal all you want with this guy. You have much more damage and survivability.|||Thank you for a long and detailed post.
But I specificly want an ALDUR druid. I know it's a struggle, and can be handle easily with cheap RW/uniques, but where's the fun in that?
So, for that matter, does anyone have any tips for the Aldur set?
Or even an FC guide?
[I tried taking a second look at the Build Guides and searching, but the results are not very informative nor helpful]|||If your set on Aldur's.......... SS, Tgod, Ravens, Highlord, Venom Grip Gloves.
Helm, 15ias/?? jewel and a Shael, Armor - Shael. Perhaps this will help - skills - see above.
It is difficult to stat around Aldurs to get the CB - that's the problem. If you're not entirely against it - Shael Shael Ber Aldur Wep and put on some 5-10CB 20ias crafted gloves and your doing good. wear Highlords and Um/Pdiamond SS. FHR charms and shael armor. That's the work-around you are probably looking for.
Edit -------
Looking at it realistically, your probably wanting to just put 3 shaels in the wep no matter what anybody says - it's ok - it's your char.
This is not the best suggestion but it looks like it's the one you can live with. I'm kinda stubborn 2.
Venom grips will give you 5CB and good PSN res.
Wear highlords ammy and Um Storm.
put (helm, armor = 3 sockets) Shael, Shael, 15ias/10-15 resist or 7 FHR jewel.
your gonna have 40 FHR on equip and gonna need 14 from charms - not so bad.
Have 2 Shapeshifting Charms maybe one with 12FHR and some lLfe or Str on the other.
I take it that you have an Anni/Torch and some life/ar sc's - so your prepared.
Your char should have close to 10K damage and 5K+ AR and 4K life depending upon the charms and your level ect... Your char will actually be pretty solid and a lot of fun. A2 Cold Merc with Infinity or Reaper will add to your char. The 5CB and 20DS will be ok but not optimal.|||What's your plan against the fire immunes which basically make up half of the monsters in hell?
Seeing as the set takes up most of the useful slots there's not a whole lot of advice that can be given (other than to tough it out ). If you can get some nice +max jewels/charms, a Fury/FC hybrid might be more viable.
There are 2 or 3 other Aldur write-ups in the SPF build compilation, but they offer no useful information other than how badly their characters sucked...|||Hubb - yep - what I said but I didn't want to just come out and say it sucked cuz I never tried it after reading the reviews (of how it sucked). Kinda why I suggested IK X 4 because it's twice the build and effectiveness. It deals with immunes very well - Aldurs does not. There are fire immunes in every act of hell.
So best suggestion is: not using Aldur Set. Your gonna struggle the minute you get to hell. The following setup will get u thru hell. IK is always better than Aldurs. Most of all - it's just more fun to play
IK X 4 with COH, Ravens, Jalals, Highlord - you will kill everything in your path.|||Goblin toes are a good source of cb 25% right there but no frw if I remember correctly|||Yeah but if he really wants to use Aldurs - Aldur boots gotta be on Feet/Paws.
