Fury druid gear question

hey there guys, I had a question about a specific gear setup for a fury druid. I was wondering what combination of gear does more overall damage.. Fort + EBOTD Zerker or Fort + Grief Zerker/Phase? I'm making this werewolf for PVM and would like to do as much damage/physical damage as possible.

Thanks|||You can figure this out for yourself by checking how fast each weapons attacks, but okay:

Code:
                 feral rage fury damage
Grief zerker 8 6/6/6/6/10 447
eBotD col blade 7 6/6/6/6/9 648
eBotD zerker 7 5/5/5/5/9 356
Grief PB 7 5/5/5/5/9 433
Up-Shael Ribby 6 5/5/5/5/8 412
T-Reaver (2 shael) 5 4/4/4/46 348

Damages are per hit, the other numbers are the frames it takes to make the attack (so less is more). I think the 50 CB on ribby wins out over the ITD on Grief, but if you can get T-Reaver then go for that. You don't need a shield on a pvm wolf |||Quote:

Well this is for hardcore, and i wanted stormy for the damage reduction. Plus I'll be doing so much damage with a grief PB that it doesn't matter anyways right?

I'm asking specifically in regards to the fort+grief zerker/pb or fort+ebotdzerker/pb setup because for some reason the damage on the grief doesn't register correctly with the attack/stat distribution menu. It also somehow adds to damage in a weird way so i was wondering would fort help increase the damage on the EBOTD more than the grief.|||Quote:

Yeah, that's why the character screen is also called the LCS (Lying Character Screen). Blizzard didn't code it perfectly, and display errors occur occassionally.

The +xxx damage from 'Grief' won't register on the LCS. 'Grief' wins. Even with 'Fortitude'. Here's a very rough calculation:

'BOTD' eBA vs 'Grief' PB.

PB average base damage 33.

eBA average base damage 71.25.

Perfect 'BOTD' gives 400% wED. 'Fortitude' gives 300% ED.

71.25 * 5 * 4 = 1425 average.

Crappiest 'Grief' gives +340. 'Fortitude' gives 300% ED.

(33 + 340) * 4 = 1492 average.

Crappy 'Grief' in lower damage base weapon > perfect 'BOTD' in higher damage base weapon. Throw in more %ED and 'Grief' still wins.

If you do go 2Hander, take 'BOTD'. If you're going 1Hander, go 'Grief'.|||How much ED you have shouldn't have an influence on what weap you choose, it effects them all the same.

Fair enough about the HC/shielded bit. Just don't try a Tomb Reaver because once you're used to that kind of speed you won't be able to go back
